This notice explains how Ketabona uses information to operate ketabona.com, its customer and seller accounts, book access, order support, printed-book fulfillment and seller settlement. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@ketabona.com.
Information used by the service

- Account and profile information, including your name, email address, login details and profile image.
- Billing and delivery details, including the recipient’s name, address and contact phone number.
- Order items, edition, quantity, currency, totals, payment status, transaction references, refunds, support requests and fulfillment updates.
- Bookshelf entitlements, download or reading activity recorded to provide access, troubleshoot problems and operate site reporting.
- Seller profiles, book submissions and print-rights confirmations, seller payment account details, earnings records and verified settlement references.
- Support messages and any photographs or other evidence you provide for an order problem.
- Technical information such as IP addresses, browser/device details, request logs, cookies and security events.
Why information is used
We use information to maintain accounts; process and verify payments; provide the purchased edition; arrange printing and delivery; show order progress; calculate and reconcile seller earnings; investigate refunds and disputes; answer support requests; protect accounts and prevent misuse; and maintain business records. Processing an order does not automatically subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. Where applicable, separate marketing choices and consent requirements must be respected.
Payments and seller settlement
Payments are handled through the payment method selected at checkout, such as HesabPay or WooPayments and its processing services. The relevant service receives the information needed to process the transaction. Ketabona stores order and payment references and verification records used to reconcile purchases, refunds and seller payments. Payment providers may retain payment credentials or tokens under their own policies. Do not send card details, payment PINs or passwords through our support forms or email.
A seller’s payment account information is used for the applicable settlement process, not published as part of a buyer’s order. Seller overview balances, settlement records and refund adjustments are maintained separately from customer payment collection.
Printing, delivery and other service providers
For physical fulfillment, the seller responsible for dispatch or contracted printing and delivery services receive the information needed for their part of the order. This can include the recipient’s name, address, phone number, delivery service and ordered book details. Private print files are shared with the printing service to validate or manufacture the requested edition; they are not made public simply because a print request exists.
Hosting, email delivery, security, payment and other necessary service providers also process information to operate the service. Providers and fulfillment facilities may be located outside Afghanistan or outside your country, depending on the service and destination. Information may also need to be retained or disclosed to resolve disputes, protect legitimate rights or comply with applicable obligations.
Login, cookies and external content
Cookies and similar storage support login sessions, shopping carts, preferences, payment flows and security. Optional analytics, advertising or embedded content, where enabled, may use additional technologies and third-party services. Browser controls can restrict cookies, although blocking essential storage can prevent checkout or account features from working. Any consent choices required for optional technologies are separate from placing an order.
If you choose a connected sign-in service such as Google, information permitted by that sign-in flow is used to identify or create your account. External services and embedded content may have their own privacy notices. Their policies do not replace Ketabona’s responsibility for information it handles.
Retention and security
Information is retained according to its purpose, account operation, applicable recordkeeping obligations, and the need to resolve payment, fulfillment, rights or seller-settlement disputes. A request to close an account does not necessarily erase every order, payment, royalty or security record immediately. Access is restricted as part of operating the service, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your requests and choices
Contact info@ketabona.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on applicable law, additional rights can include obtaining a copy of information, restricting or objecting to certain uses, portability, or choices concerning sale, sharing or marketing. We may need to verify identity and explain any record that must be retained. Requests are handled within the deadlines and conditions of the applicable law; this notice does not replace or restrict those rights.
Children and public contributions
Children’s books in the catalogue do not mean a child needs to create an account or provide payment details. If you believe a child supplied personal information without appropriate permission, contact us for review. Material intentionally submitted for public display, such as reviews or a seller’s public book listing, may be visible to visitors; do not include private payment or contact information in a public contribution.
